Barge Meanderer
Covid Safe Travel Protocols

COVID-19 – UPDATED Terms September 2022

UPDATED – Meanderer follows French Government regulations and restrictions for travel to/from  France.

Meanderer takes a maximum of 6 passengers and maintains  a CHARTER ONLY policy. You will only be travelling with your family or trusted friends. What better than to have a hotel you trust move with you during the week…..

We have always prided ourselves on having the highest standards in cleanliness and safe-practice in all areas onboard but we recognize that every traveler needs to feel confident in their choice of travel.

  • We will implement all Government guidelines and regulations
  • All staff will be trained in all hygiene protocols
  • Meanderer will receive a deep disinfection cleaning before every cruise.
  • Masks and hand sanitizers will be available in all rooms and in the salon.
  •
  • Air conditioning units are individual in every room and are cleaned weekly. Also windows and hatches can be opened easily to have fresh air
  • The minibus will receive a deep disinfection cleaning before pick up
  • Buffets for breakfast and lunch are the norm, however, we can accommodate requests for non-buffet option
  • We shall offer alternative shore visits following guests’ preferences. We offer many outdoor visits and when visiting chateaux and wineries we will follow required protocols. We will, of course, avoid crowded tourist spots
  • Our Mercedes Sprinter 9 passenger bus has a 3x2x2x2 configuration allowing 3 couples and driver + guide sitting in 4 separate rows
  • Should there be any medical issues while on board, we have the contact of an English speaking doctor and in addition, if required, a member of the crew will escort you to the nearest medical facility. France has an emergency hotline for any Covid-related issues and we would obviously first call on your behalf
  • Covid remains an evolving situation and we will keep our protocols in place and under review. We will reinforce and/or relax these when government guidelines indicate necessary change or allow easing of restrictions
